Family Allocation

In addition to the community spouse allocation, allocations may be made to certain other family members. Unlike the community spouse allocation, the family allocation is allowed regardless of whether or not it is made available to the family member.

This allocation amount must be calculated using a specific formula. We will discuss this deduction in detail later in this module. Skip this section of the LTC Income Calculation (PDF) handout for now.
