Community Income Calculations

In the last section you learned when a person requesting MA-LTC uses an MA Method ABD or an MA Method FCA community income calculation.

Some of those people may already be MA enrollees when they request MA payment of LTC services. The income calculation being used may change from one type of income calculation to another. This may also be the case when MA payment of LTC services ends and basic MA continues.  

Remember! In most cases, a person receiving services through a disability waiver must use a disabled basis of eligibility and therefore must use the MA Method ABD income calculation, and a person receiving services through the Elderly Waiver must use an age 65 or over basis of eligibility when using an MA Method ABD income calculation.
