Andreas is already an MA enrollee and the DHS-3543 was received today. Determine eligibility for MA-LTC beginning on the nineteenth of last month (LM/19/YY) because he began receiving LTC services and was an MA enrollee.

4. Does Andreas have a community spouse?

Based on the DHS-3543, and his case information, he is single and does not have a community spouse.

5. Will Andreas use an LTC income calculation?

Yes, Andreas will use an LTC income calculation, because he resides in an LTCF. All LTCF residents use an LTC income calculation.

6. What income calculation will you use for this month?

Begin using the LTC income calculation in the current month (the month after the month he entered the LTCF) because he does not have a community spouse.

7. Do you need to change his income calculation for last month?

No, his eligibility for last month was already determined using an MA Method B community income calculation. This does not need to change.
