Condition 10 - Verified
Verification is required of each medical expense. This is the final condition to use an expense as a medical expense deduction.
Verify the following:
- The date th expense was incurred. This information determines if the expense occurred within the allowable time period.
- The item or service provided.
- The expense amount.
- The payment status of the expense, as needed.
- The medical necessity of the expense, as needed.
