SIS-EW Maintenance Needs Allowance

The SIS-EW maintenance needs allowance is only available to LTC clients who are SIS-EW . The SIS-EW allowance changes in July of each year. Allow the monthly deduction for all SIS-EW clients.

A person is considered SIS-EW when the person is requesting LTC services through the Elderly Waiver and has gross income below the Special Income Standard (SIS).

There are specific rules to follow for changing to or from the SIS-EW maintenance needs allowance when an MA-LTC enrollee moves between SIS-EW and an LTCF.
