False. The DHS-6059A is only sent to clients requesting MA-LTC who use (or may use) an LTC income calculation to determine eligibility. This includes people residing in an LTCF, or certain clients requesting services through the Elderly Waiver. Clients receiving services through the CADI waiver or any of the other disability waivers do not use the LTC income calculation.

False. If all other verifications have been received within the processing period, and the client is eligible, the request for MA-LTC can be approved, but without a medical expense deduction.

False. Only medical expenses that are not from a medical provider must be verified as medically necessary. If an expense is from a medical provider it is assumed the expense is medically necessary.
