Step 3 - Determine the Excess Shelter Allowance
The next step is to determine the Excess Shelter Allowance by subtracting the basic shelter allowance from the total monthly shelter expenses.
The basic shelter allowance is found in Appendix F of the EPM and changes July of each year.
