Regardless of the allocation amount, it may only be used as a deduction when the LTC spouse is actually making the allocation available to the community spouse.
Note: The allocation amount is counted as unearned income to the community spouse when determining the community spouse’s eligibility for the Minnesota Health Care Programs.
